The Astana City Mental Health Center commented on information that orderlies allegedly beat up a 14-year-old teenager with schizophrenia within the institution, Infomburo reports . We are talking about a teenager who attacked a five-year-old child in an elevator.

After the boy's mother called 102 about the fact that her son had been injured in the department, a police officer arrived at the hospital. In the presence of the doctor and nurse on duty at the department, the police officer interviewed and examined the patient. With the consent of the mother and in her presence, the patient's body was photographed.

Upon examination, no injuries were found on the teenager's body.

“The skin is clean, the integrity of the skin is not damaged, no hematomas or swelling were found in the areas indicated by the patient,” the center reported.

The center also reported that a forensic medical examination will be conducted on this incident, the results of which will be reported additionally. The issue is under the control of the Astana Public Health Department.
