Former KNB officer beat up singer BikaBreezy. Court fines him about 80 thousand tenge
An Almaty court found a former KNB officer guilty of beating singer Binazir Yermaganbetova (BikaBreezy), CMN.kz reports . The court fined him 20 MCI (78,640 tenge) under Article 109-1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan "Beatings" and also ordered him to pay 5 MCI (19,660 tenge) to the victims' compensation fund.
“The court partially satisfied Binazir Ermaganbetova’s civil claim, ordering that she be paid 35,090 tenge in material damages and 100 thousand tenge in moral compensation,” the court announced its decision.
It should be noted that the article under which the man was convicted provides for a punishment in the form of a fine of up to 80 MCI, community service of up to 80 hours, or arrest of up to 25 days.
After the verdict was announced, Bika said she intended to file an appeal, as she did not agree with the court's decision.
"It turns out that you can pay 70 thousand tenge and continue beating, well, he didn't kill me. On the first day, my neighbor beat himself in the chest and shouted: "And what are you going to do to me? I have connections, money!" He tried to force me to withdraw my statement through investigators, and then he filed a lawsuit against me himself, claiming that I beat him. But when the outcry arose, in court all he did was cry, complain about his health, heart, said that he was afraid of me, that he had four children and he should be pitied. I would have agreed to refuse compensation if he had received 14 days of arrest instead," Bika wrote on social networks.
What happened
According to the singer, the conflict with the neighbor began because of his 13-year-old son, who kept ringing the doorbell of her apartment and running away. When Binazir made a remark to the boy, his father came down to talk to her. Later, after another verbal altercation, the situation escalated into a fight in the yard. As Bika said, the incident occurred on January 29: the neighbor punched her in the face, then threw her to the ground and began beating her. Bika talks about the lawsuits and the trial in more detail in this video.
