Policeman rescues three children and grandmother from burning apartment in Atyrau region
A police officer helped three children and a grandmother escape from a burning apartment in Kulsary. This was reported by the press service of the police department.
What happened
On the morning of March 14, police officer Alikhan Akhmetov was patrolling the Kulsary railway station in the Atyrau region. His wife called him and reported a fire in their apartment in a residential building in the Privokzalny microdistrict.
Alikhan Akhmetov, 21, rushed to the scene, took three children and an elderly woman out of the house, and then called the fire brigade. He then entered the burning second-floor apartment to make sure there were no people inside.

Due to thick smoke and intense fire, it was not possible to continue the inspection, and the policeman jumped out of the window to save himself.
What else is known
Private Akhmetov has served in the internal affairs agencies since January 2023. His colleagues note that the young officer has proven himself to be a professional, ready to work in difficult conditions.
