Five Kazakh athletes reach final of Women's World Boxing Championships in Serbia
Representatives of the Kazakhstan women's boxing team won five tickets to the final of the World Championship in Nis (Serbia). The semi-final on the night of March 14 was also held in Serbia. This was reported by the Olympic.kz website.
Initially, the chance to reach the final was given to six Kazakhstani boxers: Nazym Kyzaibay (48 kg), Alua Balkibekova (50 kg), Victoria Grafeeva (60 kg), Aida Abikeeva (63 kg), Natalia Bogdanova (70 kg) and Yeldana Talipova (81+ kg).
Only Natalia Bogdanova was a little unlucky, she lost to Irishwoman Lisa Edel O'Rourke (3:4), and became the bronze medalist.
Who will participate in the final of the Women's World Boxing Championship from the RK team:
Nazym Kyzaibay defeated Hong Kyung Ryong from North Korea 4:1.
Alua Balkibekova was able to beat the Korean An Kum Byul – 5:0.
Victoria Grafeeva was stronger than the ring owner Natalia Shadrina – 4:1.
Aida Abikeeva defeated her Russian opponent Elena Babicheva with a score of 5:0.
Eldana Talipova defeated Daria Sazonova from Moldova – 5:0.
Their opponents are already known:
- Nazym Kyzaibay – Yulia Chumgalakova (Russia).
- Alua Balkibekova – Hu Meyi (China).
- Victoria Grafeeva – Nune Asatryan (Russia).
- Aida Abikeeva – Tananya Somnuek (Thailand).
- Eldana Talipova – Yiliang Zhang (China).
The final of the 2025 Women's World Boxing Championship will take place on Sunday, March 16 in Nis.
