New flights to China, Vietnam and Egypt to be launched from Kazakhstan

This spring, Kazakhstanis will have more opportunities to travel to China, Vietnam and Egypt. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

China

Air Astana will launch a flight to Guangzhou on March 30. Flights will be operated three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays – on a modern Airbus A321LR aircraft.

Flight schedule (local time):

  • departure from Almaty – 20:50, arrival in Guangzhou – 05:45 the next day;
  • Return flight: departure from Guangzhou – 06:50, arrival in Almaty – 10:20.

The cost of round-trip tickets, including all fees, will start from 281,385 tenge in economy class, and from 827,491 tenge in business class, respectively.

The airline currently operates seven flights a week to Beijing from Almaty and Astana, as well as four flights a week to Urumqi from Almaty.

Kazakhs can stay in China without a visa for up to 30 days.

Vietnam

Air Astana recently announced that it will replace flights to Phu Quoc with a new seasonal destination. Thus, from March 2025, the air carrier will begin operating routes to Vietnam on the following routes:

  • Almaty – Nha Trang: four times a week;
  • Astana – Nha Trang: three times a week.

Kazakhs can stay in Vietnam without a visa for up to 30 days.

Egypt

It is reported that from spring 2025, the Egyptian airline Air Cairo will offer direct flights from Kazakhstan to popular Egyptian resorts:

  • Kostanay – Sharm el-Sheikh: once a week;
  • Almaty – Hurghada: twice a week.

In addition, it is planned to resume flights from Almaty to El Alamein with a frequency of one flight per week.

Kazakhs can stay in Egypt without a visa for up to 30 days.
