Ruslan Biketov was given 15 days of arrest. The case was considered under Article 488 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Kazakhstan: "Violation of the legislation of the Republic of Kazakhstan on the procedure for organizing and holding peaceful assemblies."
Penalties under this article include up to 15 days of administrative arrest or a fine of 30 MCI.
Let us recall that the former editor-in-chief of Art of Her, Rus Biketov, went on a solo picket today at the State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre in Almaty. He spoke out against the detention of the author of the satirical page Qaznews24, Temirlan Yensebek. Biketov was detained by the police.
Yesterday, Temirlan was remanded in custody for two months. He is being investigated for inciting ethnic hatred through publication on social networks.
