Almaty outpatient clinics will begin taking biometric data from patients
A new patient identification system using Face ID technology has already been launched in 70% of Almaty clinics. According to the press service of the city akimat, this will eliminate false positives, increase the transparency of medical records and simplify the process of visiting a doctor.
“Using Face ID will ensure accurate identification of patients, which is especially important when writing prescriptions, prescribing treatment and maintaining medical records,” noted the head of the city’s public health department, Asiya Akanova.
The system will be implemented in all city clinics by the end of this year.
In addition, patients can confirm their visit with a six-digit code through the Digital Documents service.
