The iconic film director David Lynch has died in the United States. He was 78 years old. His relatives published information about this on social networks. The cause of Lynch's death was pulmonary emphysema.
"It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of the man and artist, David Lynch. Now that he is no longer with us, there is a huge hole in the world. But as he would say, 'keep an eye on the donut, not the hole.' Today is a beautiful day – the sun is golden and the sky is blue," the post reads.
According to The Variety, in 2024, Lynch announced that he had been diagnosed with emphysema due to lifelong smoking, and would likely no longer be able to leave the house to direct.
