Monument to the murdered dog Pshon erected in Atyrau

A metal sculpture of the dog Pshon, who helped local residents during spring floods, was installed in Atyrau, but later the animal was killed by unknown persons. Information about the installation was confirmed by the city administration, reports "Informburo".

The monument was erected on the territory of the Ailaq Coffee shop, located on the city embankment along Kulmanova Street. The owner of the establishment decided to express his gratitude to the dog for its loyalty and good deeds.

The author of the work, sculptor Azamat Kenzhegaliev, said that the monument serves as a symbol of gratitude to the dog for helping in a difficult situation. The sculpture is made of metal and consists of figures in the form of hearts. "This is an expression of our love for the dog Pshon," Kenzhegaliev noted.

Earlier, the author expressed concern that the monument might be ignored. "The regional and city akimats offered several places to install the sculpture. But the author made the final choice. He independently negotiated with entrepreneurs, and one of them agreed to support the project," the Atyrau akimat said.

Let us recall that a criminal case has been opened on the fact of Pshon's murder. And as the Atyrau Region police reported, the investigation is ongoing.
