Deputy of the Majilis of Parliament Ermurat Bapi commented on the recent detentions of journalists and activists in various cities of Kazakhstan who went out to pickets and protests in support of the arrested Temirlan Yensebek.

"Who woke up the Oyanites who have lived peacefully for the last 3-4 years? What irritated the young people who did not harm anyone? What is the goal of the police, the prosecutor's office and the court? To create chaos in the country? After all, in the end, the people's discontent will be directed not only at them, but first and foremost at the president of the country, and they understand this perfectly well!" Yermurat Bapi wrote on his Facebook page.

In addition, MP Bapi called for the court's illegal decision to be overturned and for journalist Asem Zhapisheva to be released from the Almaty special detention facility.

"It's time to stop the senseless demonstrations of arrogance, cancel the illegal court decision on the prosecutor's protest and release Asem from prison! Enough of the senseless confrontation that only irritates society!" said MP Bapi.
