How much have prices for new buildings increased in Kazakhstan?
In January 2025, new apartments became more expensive in 18 out of 20 regions of Kazakhstan, Krisha.kz reports with reference to the Bureau of National Statistics (BNS).
"Prices for apartments in new buildings have increased by an average of 1.3% compared to December 2024. This is the general figure for Kazakhstan. At the same time, 1.3% is quite a sharp jump. For comparison: throughout 2024, the average figure has never increased by more than 0.8% – this is the maximum value," the publication writes.
The sharpest increase in prices for new buildings in January was recorded in Konayev (+6.2%). Prices for new buildings also increased significantly in Pavlodar (+4.4%), Kyzylorda (+2.8%), Petropavlovsk (+2.6%), Karaganda (+2.4%), Uralsk (+2.2%). In Astana, prices increased by 1.7% over the month, in Almaty — by 1%, in Shymkent — by 1.2%.
Price per square meter in new buildings
The average price per square meter on the primary market of Kazakhstan at the end of January was 499,983 tenge.
Prices for apartments in new buildings in January 2025:
- Almaty – 582,175 tenge;
- Astana – 581,258 tenge;
- Atyrau – 484,934 tenge;
- Shymkent – 462,178 tenge.
The cheapest primary housing: in Uralsk – 284,136 tenge/sq. m, Aktobe – 288,203 tenge/sq. m, Kokshetau – 325,149 tenge/sq. m.
